Team & How We Work

Jizai is a small, senior team of software engineers, robotics engineers, AI researchers, designers, and business builders. Our backgrounds span major tech companies, startups, and front-line research. Many of us work in flexible ways — full-time, contract, or alongside other work — and each of us moves with real autonomy, as a professional.

Our office is a lab in Tokyo that feels like a secret base, with our robots all around. What we build goes out to “the field” — CES, Miraikan, and beyond — so we can learn from how real people react, moving back and forth between research and real-world deployment.

Hiring Process

  1. Apply

    Apply for a casual interview from the form on each position page. No statement of motivation needed.

  2. Casual interview

    We start by getting to know each other — and talk openly about where Jizai is now and where we are heading.

  3. Interviews

    A few rounds of interviews and technical conversations, depending on the role (online is fine).

  4. Offer

    We align on how you want to work (full-time, contract, and more) and the details — then you join the team.

The process may vary depending on the role and circumstances.
